later Baekje: An ancient country on the central Korean Peninsula, established in 892 by Gyeon Hwon with its capital in Wansanju; it formed the Later Three Kingdoms along with the Later Goguryeo and Silla Kingdom, but suffered an internal conflict and was subsequently brought down by the Goryeo Dynasty in 936.
한반도의 중부에 있던 나라. 견훤이 892년 완산주를 수도로 하여 세웠다. 신라, 후고구려와 함께 후삼국을 이루었지만, 내분이 일어나 936년에 결국 고려에 멸망하였다.
