The weaver girl: a girl weaving hemp cloth, from the traditional Korean folktale of Gyeonuwajingnyeo, the Herdsman, and the Weaver; the Milky Way separates the girl from her husband, the Herdsman, and the only time of year she reunites with him on the 7th day of the 7th month by the lunar calendar when a flock of magpies and crows form a bridge called Okjakgyo, Crow-Magpie Bridge, across the constellation.
견우와 직녀 이야기에 나오는, 베를 짜는 일을 하는 여자. 은하수를 사이에 두고 남편 견우와 헤어져 있다가 일 년에 단 한 번, 음력 7월 7일에 까치와 까마귀가 놓아 준 다리인 오작교에서 견우와 만날 수 있다고 한다.
